About the Role
Libyan Islamic Bank is seeking an Information Security Compliance Officer to join its Information Security Governance Team. The successful candidate will contribute to ensuring compliance with international standards and regulatory requirements related to information security, while supporting the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Information Security Management System (ISMS) in line with industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing and monitoring compliance with international and local information security standards and regulations.
- Contribute to the development, review, and update of information security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Maintain and document the Information Security Management System (ISMS).
- Support internal and external audit activities and ensure timely follow-up of corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the Risk Management Department to assess and monitor information security risks.
- Prepare periodic reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to information security compliance.
- Assist in promoting security awareness and fostering a culture of compliance across the Bank.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to information security governance and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in Information Security, Compliance, Governance, or a related area.
- Knowledge of and experience with ISO/IEC 27001 and Information Security Management Systems (ISMS).
- Understanding of risk management and regulatory compliance concepts is considered an advantage.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent documentation and report-writing abilities.
- Experience in developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and security documentation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills in both Arabic and English.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and pay close attention to detail.
- Eagerness to learn and continuously develop in the fields of information security and governance.
