Position Summary
The Accounts Receivable (AR) Accountant is responsible for managing customer invoicing, collections, account reconciliations, and receivable reporting to ensure timely cash collection and accurate financial records. The role requires close coordination with operations, contracts, and finance teams to maintain healthy cash flow and minimize overdue receivables.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue customer invoices in accordance with contract terms and approved billing schedules.
- Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Reconcile customer statements and resolve billing discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate accounts receivable records and supporting documentation.
- Prepare aging reports and provide regular collection status updates.
- Coordinate with clients regarding payment schedules, invoices, and account balances.
- Record receipts and allocate collections against customer accounts.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to receivables.
- Assist in cash flow forecasting and collection planning.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and VAT requirements.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, or General Accounting.
- Experience within Facility Management, Maintenance, Contracting, or Service Industries is preferred.
- Good knowledge of Saudi VAT regulations and accounting practices.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and meet collection targets.
