Job Responsibilities
- Serves as primary administrative support to the Warden.
- Prepares and types correspondence, compile reports, take minutes, and ensures clerical/administrative duties are completed in a timely and effective manner.
- Provides administrative support regarding inmates by responding to inmate complaints/concerns as needed.
- Conducts death reports and administrative incident reviews.
- Compiles visitation suspension forms/letters.
- Coordinates attorney-inmate visit approvals, equipment, OTR’s, RTSM pickup/distribution.
- Maintains Warden’s schedule appointments and various scheduling.
- Administers staff directives, plans and instructions, as needed.
- Responds to inquiries from inmate relatives, co-workers, outside law enforcement, public, etc. in accordance with SCDC policies and procedures.
- Responds to and assists with institutional emergencies as needed.
Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor’s degree may be substituted for the related work experience.
