Role Description The Administration (Facilities) Section Head – Construction is a full-time, on-site role based in Egypt. This position oversees the planning, operation, and maintenance of facilities related to construction projects, ensuring that administrative and physical infrastructures support project and organizational objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing facility services, coordinating construction-related administrative activities, supervising facility staff, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The role involves preparing and monitoring facility budgets, optimizing resource allocation, and collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to support efficient project execution. The Section Head also leads procurement for facility-related materials and services, manages vendor relationships, and implements processes to improve facility performance and cost-effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Strong Facility Management (FM) experience with a focus on construction-related environments and building operations.
- Excellent Analytical Skills to interpret data, assess facility performance, and support sound decision-making.
- Proficiency in Budgeting, cost control, and financial planning for facilities and construction support activities.
- Demonstrated Team Management capabilities, including supervising staff, delegating tasks, and fostering a collaborative work culture.
- Practical experience in Procurement, vendor selection, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, or a related field; advanced studies or certifications in FM or project management are an advantage.
- Knowledge of local building regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements within Egypt.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary project teams.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., MS Office, facility or project management systems).
- Proven ability to work on-site, handle multiple priorities, and maintain high standards of reliability and integrity.
