Hybrid work environment
RECO has a ‘hybrid’ environment, which typically includes a minimum attendance in the office of two days per week, with some teams/positions requiring more frequent in-office attendance.
The role
Reporting to the Lead, Stakeholder Relations, the Advisor, Stakeholder relations will develop, coordinate, and deliver stakeholder engagement initiatives that strengthen relationships with registrants, industry associations, boards, and other sector stakeholders.
The role provides analysis, advice, and recommendations to support stakeholder engagement strategies, identify emerging issues, and enhance sector awareness of RECO’s regulatory priorities.
Stakeholder engagement and relationship support
- Plan and lead stakeholder engagement activities, including advisory committees, industry consultations, working groups, and sector forums, ensuring objectives are achieved and stakeholder feedback is effectively captured and analyzed.
- Serve as a key stakeholder contact, providing guidance and information regarding regulatory initiatives, engagement activities, and sector concerns while identifying issues requiring escalation or further action.
Content development and research
- Drafting core stakeholder assets, such as eblasts, articles, newsletters, and key messages.
- Analyze stakeholder feedback, industry trends, sector issues, and engagement outcomes to identify risks, opportunities, and emerging themes, and provide recommendations to support stakeholder engagement planning and decision-making.
- Prepare briefing notes, environmental scans, stakeholder profiles, and engagement reports to support leadership decision-making and stakeholder engagement priorities.
Cross-functional coordination and alignment
- Partner with Communications, Regulatory Operations, Compliance, Education, and Strategy teams to ensure stakeholder engagement activities support organizational priorities and regulatory objectives.
- Lead stakeholder engagement projects and initiatives from planning through implementation, including developing project plans, coordinating stakeholders, monitoring progress, and evaluating outcomes.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Affairs, Public Administration, Political Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in stakeholder relations, public affairs, communications, government relations, regulatory affairs, or a related discipline.
- Experience developing stakeholder engagement plans, conducting research and analysis, and preparing executive-level briefing materials.
- Experience working with industry associations, advisory committees, regulators, government organizations, or public-sector stakeholders is preferred.
