Join OREA as a Government Relations Specialist and drive advocacy efforts across the Golden Horseshoe Region. This hybrid role emphasizes municipal and provincial relationship building to influence policy.
Reporting to the Manager of Regional Government Relations, you will play a key role in developing and implementing advocacy campaigns that support the priorities of real estate Member Boards. Your responsibilities will involve direct engagement with politicians and stakeholders, as well as monitoring issues that impact the industry. This is a full-time position ideal for candidates based in or near the Golden Horseshoe Region, with regular travel included.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and manage advocacy plans for Member Boards
• Facilitate REALTOR participation at community events
• Maintain strategic connections with key decision-makers
• Track local government issues relevant to REALTORS
• Support grassroots initiatives with OREA’s resources
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of advocacy experience
• Knowledgeable in municipal and provincial processes
• Must have a valid Ontario driver’s license
• Previous grassroots campaign experience an asset
