🎯 The Role
We are seeking an experienced Art Curator to develop and manage exhibitions, oversee art collections, conduct research, and create engaging cultural experiences. The successful candidate will work closely with artists, collectors, galleries, museums, sponsors, and stakeholders to curate exhibitions that inspire audiences and strengthen the organization's artistic vision.
This role is ideal for professionals with expertise in art history, museum studies, exhibition planning, collection management, and cultural programming.
🚀 What You’ll Do
- Develop and curate permanent and temporary exhibitions aligned with organizational objectives
- Research artists, artworks, historical movements, and contemporary art trends
- Acquire, document, and manage art collections and exhibition inventories
- Collaborate with artists, collectors, museums, galleries, and cultural institutions
- Prepare exhibition concepts, interpretive materials, catalogues, and educational content
- Coordinate exhibition installation, logistics, conservation, and display standards
- Organize public programs, artist talks, workshops, and cultural events
- Develop partnerships with sponsors, donors, and community organizations
- Manage exhibition budgets, timelines, contracts, and project resources
- Ensure artwork handling, preservation, and collection management comply with professional standards
- Promote exhibitions through marketing, media engagement, and digital platforms
- Prepare reports, grant applications, and strategic recommendations for leadership
✅ What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Art History, Fine Arts, Museum Studies, Cultural Heritage, Arts Management, History, or a related field
- 5–10+ years of experience in museums, galleries, cultural institutions, auction houses, or arts organizations
- Proven experience curating exhibitions and managing art collections
- Strong knowledge of modern, contemporary, historical, or regional art
- Excellent research, writing, presentation, and storytelling skills
- Strong project management and organizational abilities
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple exhibitions and deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote or hybrid environment when applicable
🌟 Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Art History, Museum Studies, Curatorial Practice, Arts Administration, or related disciplines
- Experience working with international exhibitions, biennales, art fairs, or cultural festivals
- Knowledge of art conservation, collection management systems, provenance research, and museum documentation
- Experience securing grants, sponsorships, fundraising, and donor engagement
- Familiarity with digital exhibitions, virtual museums, NFT/digital art, and cultural technology initiatives
- Experience managing public engagement and educational outreach programs
- Multilingual communication skills, particularly English and Arabic, are highly desirable
