The rare opportunity has arisen for a progressive, visionary, strategic thinker with outstanding leadership characteristics, a relevant operational background across the whole gamut of policing, and who has experience at the Superintendent level or above (or equivalent from other jurisdictions), to join the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) in the critically important role of Assistant Commissioner.
Reporting to, and accountable to both the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner of Police, you will be joining an exceptional group of sworn and civilian members of the ELT in this dynamic and crucial leadership position. You will play a significant role in shaping the future of SAPOL which caters to the needs of the communities in which it serves and is committed to a prevention first mindset, while instilling a world-class, best practice culture at all levels of the organisation – which concentrates on collaboration, diversity and inclusion, strategy and commerciality, operational excellence, health and wellbeing – and building upon the exceptional foundations already established as SAPOL and its services evolve into the future.
