As a senior leader in the Queensland Government Statistician’s Office, you will shape the use of data to address complex justice system challenges, influence policy, and drive evidence-based outcomes across government and the community.
As Assistant Government Statistician, you will lead the Crime Statistics and Research and Data Integration (CSR) unit within the Queensland Government Statistician's Office. This senior leadership role is responsible for delivering high quality statistical products, research insights, and data integration services that support evidence-based decision-making across government. Working with criminal justice agencies, academic institutions and key stakeholders, you will provide strategic leadership to ensure data and research outputs are relevant, accessible and impactful.
In This Role, You Will
- Lead and manage the delivery of crime statistics, research and data integration services
- Produce timely, objective and accessible statistical information and research for government and stakeholders
- Provide expert advice on criminal justice data, research and analytics across government
- Represent the department on committees and working groups at a senior level
- Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across government, academia and the community
- Provide strategic leadership to improve data quality, systems and methodologies
- Foster a high-performance, client-focused and innovative team culture
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team and build organisational capability
