Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA) is a Malaysian Federal Government statutory body tasked with the objective of regulating and driving various stakeholders in public and private sectors towards realizing the vision of developing Iskandar Malaysia into a strong and sustainable metropolis of international standing.
Overall Accountability:
Supports the organization’s data-driven initiatives by translating business needs into clear data requirements and delivering actionable insights to support decision-making, market intelligence, and planning processes. The role involves analyzing and documenting requirements, developing metrics and KPIs, analytical models, and identifying trends. It serves as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure solutions meet requirements, including coordinating User Acceptance Testing and supporting Change Management initiatives to drive the use of Iskandar Malaysia Analytics Centre (IMAC) as the analytical tool for data-driven and evidence-based decision-making. The scope also includes assisting Head of Unit or Project Manager in project and change request implementation.
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Statistics, or other related disciplines.
- Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience in undertaking business requirements, and data analysis work.
- Certification on Big Data, Data Analyst or other relevant professional or technical certifications is preferred.
- Experience in system implementation projects especially in Big Data/Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence projects as a business and/or data analyst and/or change management.
- Knowledgeable in using analytic and modelling tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Looker, Qlik Sense, SAP and IBM Cognos.
- Some experience in leading and/or managing projects.
- Familiar with AI concepts, GenAI tools and prompts.
- Poses critical thinking and excellent problem resolution skills.
- Good teamwork and communication skills (writing and speaking) in Bahasa Melayu and English.
- Excellent time and priority management.
