Job Summary
The Finance Controller will oversee and manage day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, reconciliations, payroll, cash flow, and financial reporting. This role demands strong analytical skills, leadership capabilities, and a continuous improvement mindset to drive operational efficiency and ensure financial accuracy across the organization.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage core finance operations including billing, collections, payroll, accounts
- payable/receivable, general ledger accounting, and reconciliations.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
- Ensure accurate and timely MIS, P&L, Balance Sheet reporting.
- Review and validate GL entries, accruals, provisions, and reconciliations.
- Supervise and mentor finance team members, promoting skill development, efficiency, and professional growth.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve financial processes and internal controls to enhance accuracy, compliance, and scalability.
- Prepare and review internal financial reports, dashboards, and variance analyses to support decision making.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth coordination and compliance.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for automation and digital transformation within finance operations.
Skills & Qualifications
- CA qualification is mandatory.
- 15+ years of experience in finance operations, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (Ind AS), financial systems, and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP HANA).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
