Our client, a rapidly growing consumer-focused organization, is looking for an experienced AVP – Warehouse Operations to lead and govern end-to-end B2C warehouse operations managed through a 3PL partner. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, inventory accuracy, cost optimization, service-level adherence, and a superior customer experience.
The successful candidate will have strong experience managing large-scale warehouse operations, leading 3PL partners, and building scalable fulfillment processes in high-growth environments.
Key Responsibilities
3PL Governance & Performance Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the 3PL warehouse partner.
- Establish, monitor, and enforce SLAs across inbound, outbound, inventory management, and returns operations.
- Conduct regular performance reviews covering productivity, quality, accuracy, and service levels.
- Validate and manage 3PL commercial billing, including manpower costs, variable charges, value-added services, and penalties.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence programs with external partners.
Warehouse Operations
- Lead end-to-end warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns processing.
- Ensure adherence to fulfillment turnaround times and operational KPIs.
- Develop capacity and resource plans to support peak periods, promotional campaigns, seasonal sales, and business growth.
- Drive process standardization and operational efficiency across warehouse functions.
- Ensure compliance with FIFO/FEFO requirements where applicable.
Inventory Management
- Maintain best-in-class inventory accuracy through robust inventory controls and audit processes.
- Oversee cycle counting, stock reconciliation, and inventory investigations.
- Minimize losses arising from damages, shrinkage, mis-picks, and operational errors.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to improve inventory integrity.
Systems & Process Excellence
- Ensure effective utilization of WMS and related operational systems.
- Monitor inventory synchronization, order flow accuracy, and system compliance.
- Drive process discipline around scanning compliance, location management, and transaction accuracy.
- Leverage operational dashboards, MIS, and analytics to drive performance improvements and decision-making.
Customer Experience & Quality
- Reduce customer complaints related to warehouse operations, including incorrect shipments, shortages, and damages.
- Ensure packaging and fulfillment standards align with brand expectations.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Cost Management
- Drive optimization of warehouse operating costs and Cost Per Unit (CPU).
- Improve labor productivity, space utilization, and packaging efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to enhance productivity while maintaining service excellence.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with safety, statutory, fire, security, and operational standards.
- Maintain readiness for internal, external, and regulatory audits.
- Ensure all warehouse operations adhere to established SOPs and governance frameworks.

Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
Experience
- 10–14 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
- Proven experience managing large-scale warehouse operations and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
- Strong exposure to B2C fulfillment environments.
- E-commerce experience is preferred. Candidates who have gained exposure to e-commerce operations at any stage of their career and possess a solid understanding of e-commerce fulfillment processes will also be considered.
- Experience in fast-paced, high-growth, retail, fashion, consumer, or startup environments is highly desirable.

- Strong 3PL governance and vendor management expertise.
- Deep understanding of warehouse operations, fulfillment metrics, and service-level management.
- Hands-on knowledge of WMS and warehouse technologies.
