Business Analyst – HR Systems (3-Month Contract)
Location: Perth, WA | Start: 6 July 2026 (or ASAP)
Rate: $85-$90 p/h Plus Super
Hays partnering with a government organisation to recruit an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in HR systems for a short-term contract engagement.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping a critical procurement initiative, supporting the development of requirements for an upcoming tender for a new HR solution.
Your New Role
As the Business Analyst, you will work closely with HR, IT, and broader business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document requirements. You will translate organisational needs into clear, structured, and testable deliverables that will underpin the successful selection and implementation of a new HR system.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing requirements to support the upcoming tender for a new HR solution
- Eliciting and documenting business requirements
- Producing functional and non-functional specifications
- Developing process maps, use cases, and supporting artefacts
- Facilitating stakeholder workshops and engagement sessions
- Ensuring all documentation aligns with tender and procurement standards
What You’ll Need to Succeed
To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, specifically within HR systems/projects
- Strong track record in requirements gathering and documentation
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to deliver high-quality, structured artefacts within tight timeframes
Highly desirable:
- Experience working within or alongside the public sector
- Formal Business Analysis certification (e.g., CBAP, BABOK, Agile BA)
