Title: Business Analyst

Profectus is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced Business Analysts to support anticipated opportunities across multiple Australian Government departments and the broader national security community. These roles are expected to underpin requirements definition, process design and solution shaping across Commonwealth ICT programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Elicit, document and validate business and functional requirements
- Map current and future state processes across cloud, identity, ITSM and cyber programs
- Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria and design intent
- Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders, sponsors and delivery teams
- Support solution assurance, user acceptance testing and adoption activities
- Maintain traceability across requirements, design and delivery artefacts
- Partner with architects, developers and change managers throughout the lifecycle
Required Experience
- Demonstrated business analysis experience on enterprise or Commonwealth ICT programs
- Strong elicitation, modelling and documentation skills
- Experience working in regulated or Australian Government environments
- Comfort operating across both unclassified and classified environments
- Excellent stakeholder management across technical and business audiences
Desirable Experience
- Background across cloud, identity, ServiceNow, cyber or transformation programs
- Familiarity with Agile, hybrid and SAFe delivery approaches in government
- Experience supporting multi-vendor delivery squads
- Exposure to Defence capability acquisition and sustainment environments
Certifications (Highly Regarded)
- IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or ECBA
- BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis
- Agile certifications (PSM, PSPO, SAFe POPM)
- ITIL 4 Foundation
Security Requirements
- Must be an Australian Citizen
- Must hold a current Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) clearance
Working Arrangements
- Predominantly Canberra-based roles within secure Australian Government environments
- Onsite work is expected for most opportunities, including engagement on classified networks
