About The Role

The Junior Business Analyst at EvoTech will play a vital role in supporting our program and project teams by assisting with project coordination, documentation, and data analysis aligned with PMBOK methodologies. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, and senior analysts to ensure smooth project execution, monitor performance metrics, and maintain comprehensive documentation. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to build foundational experience in project management, business analysis, and federal IT environments. The position involves supporting project schedules, financial tracking, requirements gathering, and stakeholder communication, contributing to process improvement initiatives across multiple projects. Depending on contract requirements, this role may be hybrid or remote, with occasional travel as needed, providing flexibility and exposure to diverse project environments.

Qualifications

  • Current college student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Business, Cybersecurity, Project Management, or a related field
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline preferred
  • 0–3 years of experience in business analysis, project coordination, or IT support environments
  • Internship or academic experience supporting IT, cybersecurity, or project-based work
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or Smartsheet
  • Working knowledge of Adobe PDF tools
  • Basic understanding of IT environments and project lifecycle management
  • Familiarity with financial tracking concepts related to project spending
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to learn quickly and work collaboratively in team environments
  • High attention to detail and focus on documentation quality
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a structured environment
  • CAPM certification preferred but not required
  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust or higher federal clearance if required by the contract

Responsibilities

  • Support project coordination activities across multiple IT and program management initiatives
  • Assist in tracking project schedules, milestones, risks, and deliverables using PMBOK-aligned practices
  • Monitor project financials and assist with tracking project spending and budget status
  • Support requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder communication efforts
  • Assist project teams in maintaining organization, documentation accuracy, and execution alignment
  • Maintain project schedules using tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or Smartsheet
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and performance metrics to monitor project health
  • Create and maintain project documentation utilizing Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe PDF tools
  • Support process documentation, template development, and workflow improvement initiatives
  • Track and report project data, including timelines, deliverables, and financial metrics
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure project success
  • Prepare meeting notes, action trackers, and project status reports
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation repositories
  • Facilitate communication across project teams to ensure alignment on deliverables and timelines
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and standardization
  • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting, documentation, and coordination activities
  • Contribute to the development of standardized templates, procedures, and documentation practices
