About The Role
We are looking for a motivated Business Development Executive (Retail Bancassurance) to join our team at RHB Insurance Berhad. In this role, you will support the achievement of General Insurance (GI) business targets through effective branch engagement, sales activation, product training, operational support, and customer service excellence across assigned bank branches. You will play a key role in driving insurance penetration within the bancassurance channel by working closely with branch teams to develop opportunities and deliver strong customer outcomes.
What You Will Be Doing
Sales Support & Business Development
- Support the achievement of assigned Gross Written Premium (GWP) and sales targets through bancassurance distribution channels.
- Work closely with Branch Managers, Relationship Managers (RMs), and frontline staff to identify, develop, and convert insurance opportunities.
- Drive sales activation initiatives, referral generation, joint sales calls, and customer engagement activities to enhance insurance penetration.
- Assist in executing sales campaigns, product promotions, and branch-level business development initiatives.
Branch Engagement & Relationship Management
- Conduct regular branch visits to provide sales support, coaching, and engagement with frontline staff.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with Branch Managers, RMs, and key stakeholders within the bank.
- Monitor branch sales performance, identify business opportunities, and escalate key issues or support requirements to the Business Development Manager (BDM).
- Organize and participate in roadshows, customer events, and branch engagement activities to promote insurance solutions.
Product Training & Capability Building
- Deliver product briefings, training sessions, and refresher workshops on General Insurance products including Motor, Personal Accident, Fire, Travel, and other insurance solutions.
- Identify knowledge and competency gaps among branch staff and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to strengthen product understanding.
- Support onboarding and development of new bank staff on insurance products, sales processes, and operating systems.
Operational & Policy Servicing Support
- Facilitate smooth processing of policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, and claims referrals.
- Coordinate closely with internal departments to ensure timely resolution of customer and branch-related matters.
- Maintain accurate records of branch visits, sales activities, pipeline updates, and performance reports.
- Ensure operational efficiency while supporting customer satisfaction and business profitability objectives.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure all sales and distribution activities comply with regulatory requirements, company policies, and bancassurance governance standards.
- Promote fair customer treatment, ethical sales practices, and a strong risk management culture.
- Escalate compliance issues, operational risks, customer complaints, and service concerns promptly for resolution.
- Support the implementation of compliance initiatives and sales governance controls.
Customer Service Excellence
- Deliver high-quality support and service to both bank staff and customers.
- Enhance customer experience through timely follow-up, effective communication, and professional service standards.
- Foster strong customer relationships to improve retention and long-term business growth.
What We’re Looking For
- A degree or professional qualification from an institution recognized by the Government of Malaysia.
- Candidates with knowledge or experience in General Insurance, bancassurance, or related financial services roles will have an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Good contact network within banking or insurance channels will be an added advantage.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
