The opportunity we are recruiting for is a Business Development Manager / Key Account Manager – Tasmania. In this role you will have accountability for delivering total business objectives for the 3 major state-based Tasmanian accounts across both the on and off-premise channels. It is essential to your success that you collaborate with other business functions – internally and externally – including the extended VIC/TAS Key Account Team, Customer Marketing, Brand, Field Sales and major Wholesaler groups in order to facilitate exceptional execution of account strategies.
With respect to the BDM duties you will be involved in effectively managing & developing called-on accounts in order to deliver the profit, volume, sales drivers and Diageo brand building objectives expressed in the commercial plan and customer terms. You will also work closely with 3rd party Merchandiser resources to fulfil brand building objectives.
To be successful in this role you will have a strong background in sales gained within the FMCG sector. In addition you will be creative in your thinking, show initiative and flair, but will equally have great attention to detail, have solid planning skills, be able to pick up a strict set of objectives and execute with excellence and lastly be happy to get your hands dirty. Your ability to develop strong relationships which drive growth for both companies is essential for this role.
