Role Overview
The Business Development Manager – Strategic Partnerships will work closely with the CEO to originate, structure, and manage strategic partnerships with government entities, semi-government organizations, and private sector partners. This is a highly strategic and externally facing role, requiring strong relationship management, commercial acumen, and execution discipline.
Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Partnerships Development
- Identify and originate partnership opportunities with:
- Government entities and giga-projects
- Semi-government organizations
- Strategic private sector partners
- Develop partnership frameworks aligned with company strategy and growth priorities
- Support structuring of alliances, joint ventures, and Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs)
2. CEO Office Support
- Act as a strategic extension of the CEO on partnerships and external engagements
- Prepare briefing materials, talking points, and strategic notes for meetings
- Follow up on key initiatives and ensure execution against agreed priorities
- Track and manage a pipeline of partnerships and opportunities
3. Government Relations & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across:
- Government ministries and authorities
- Development authorities and giga-project entities
- Coordinate engagement strategy and communication flow
- Ensure alignment with national initiatives and regulatory frameworks
4. Deal Origination & Execution
- Lead end-to-end business development process:
- Opportunity sourcing
- Initial engagement
- Proposal development
- Commercial structuring
- Coordinate internally with legal, finance, and technical teams
- Support negotiation of agreements and partnership terms
5. PR & Strategic Positioning
- Coordinate with internal and external PR teams to:
- Announce partnerships
- Position the company in key markets
- Ensure consistent messaging aligned with corporate strategy
6. Process Structuring & Governance
- Develop and implement structured processes for:
- Partnership evaluation
- Approval workflows
- Tracking and reporting
- Maintain CRM / pipeline tracking system for partnerships
