Job Summary
This position supports the Culture Coach in the implementation and operational execution of the Department’s statewide Cultural Assessment Program in accordance with Administrative Regulation 1450-61. The position independently conducts assigned assessment activities including interviews, focus groups, stakeholder engagement sessions, operational observations, assessment coordination, qualitative and quantitative data analysis, and development of assessment materials supporting organizational culture improvement initiatives across facilities, parole offices, and auxiliary divisions statewide.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and facilitate cultural assessment activities
- Determine appropriate facilitation methods for interviews, focus groups, and stakeholder engagement activities
- Identify organizational trends, morale concerns, communication barriers, and operational risks requiring further review
- Utilize professional facilitation and interview techniques to gather candid feedback regarding organizational culture, leadership effectiveness, communication practices, operational consistency, employee morale, professionalism, and workplace climate
- Support the Culture Coach in fostering trust, transparency, and meaningful stakeholder participation throughout the cultural assessment process
- Coordinate operational and logistical components of cultural assessments; including scheduling interviews and focus groups across multiple shifts, coordinating site visits, facilitating stakeholder participation, arranging meeting locations, distributing assessment materials, and maintaining assessment timelines consistent with program expectations and notification requirements
- Travel to locations within the state of Colorado
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Six (6) years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Experience supporting and mentoring staff in the implementation and sustainability of initiatives through effective communication and strategies
- Experience conducting objective and thorough investigations into grievances/complaints culminating in the delivery of recommendations and/or actions to stakeholders
- Experience ensuring compliance and training staff on policies and procedures
- Experience addressing employee complaints to ensure compliance with relevant laws, contracts, procedures, or regulations
- Experience exercising some control over the continual work product of others

A combination of related education in Human Resources, Public Administration, Corrections, Criminal Justice, or other related field, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), Organizational Psychology, and/or Assessment, Employee Relations, or closely related field of study and/or relevant experience equal to six (6) years.
