About the Company
We are working exclusively with one of Europe's most established space propulsion companies to appoint their first Chief Commercial Officer. This is a business with 25+ years of heritage, proprietary deep tech, and an already profitable global customer base, not a startup looking for someone to build from nothing, but an ambitious company entering a deliberate growth phase with the backing and technology to deliver it.
About the Role
The CCO will own the commercial function entirely, strategy, front-line business development, key account management, sales process, and pipeline, before building and leading a team as the organisation scales. The role reports directly to the CEO.
Responsibilities
- A proven track record in senior commercial or BD leadership roles within the space and/or defence sector, selling technically complex products into primes, institutional customers, and government programmes internationally.
- Enough technical credibility to engage at depth with engineering-led customers, you don’t need to be an engineer, but you need to be comfortable in the room.
- An international commercial outlook, the customer base spans the US, Asia, and Europe, and the ability to operate effectively across all three is essential.
- The strategic mindset to build a commercial function, pipeline, process, team, not just carry one.
- Openness to relocation within Scandinavia, this is a non-negotiable requirement. The entire leadership team works on-site.
