Shape the Story. Build the Brand. Expand the Impact.

The University Area Community Development Corporation (UACDC) is seeking a strategic, collaborative, and mission-driven communications and fundraising leader to help lead one of Florida's most innovative and multifaceted community development organizations.

This is not a traditional communications role. It is an opportunity to serve as the organization's chief storyteller, fundraising strategist, brand steward, and community engagement leader during a pivotal chapter in UACDC's history.

For more than two decades, UACDC has worked alongside residents, businesses, educational institutions, healthcare providers, government agencies, and nonprofit partners to strengthen families, improve economic mobility, and create lasting opportunity throughout Tampa's University Area.

Today, UACDC serves thousands of residents annually through a diverse portfolio of workforce development, youth services, health and wellness initiatives, housing programs, community engagement efforts, and neighborhood revitalization activities. The organization oversees more than $12 million in annual revenue, employs approximately 45 team members, engages thousands of volunteers, and stewards a significant real estate portfolio positioned to influence the future of the University Area community.

The Opportunity

The Chief Communications & Philanthropy Officer (CCPO) serves as a key member of the executive leadership team and partners closely with the CEO to strengthen organizational visibility, advance philanthropic growth, deepen community trust, and elevate UACDC's influence across the region.

Working closely with donors, foundations, corporate partners, community stakeholders, media representatives, elected officials, and residents, the CCPO will help shape how the community understands UACDC's mission, impact, and vision for the future.

As the University Area experiences unprecedented redevelopment, investment, and growth, UACDC is uniquely positioned to help ensure residents benefit from that momentum. The CCPO will play a central role in telling that story while building the philanthropic partnerships and community relationships necessary to support long-term impact.
