This entity holds a pivotal mandate in transforming the national energy landscape, driving sustainable industrial growth, and executing multi-billion-naira infrastructure frameworks.

Role

As the organisation scales its operations to deliver on this mandate, it is expanding its leadership team and is seeking to engage exceptional talent across the following three roles:

Job Title: Chief Finance Officer

Engagement Type: Full-Time

Location: Abuja, Nigeria

Summary

The Chief Finance Officer will provide strategic financial direction for the organisation, overseeing financial planning, treasury, budgeting, and risk management in support of multi-billion-naira infrastructure frameworks. The role encompasses financial reporting, capital structuring, investor and lender relations, statutory compliance, and internal controls across the organisation's energy and power portfolio, serving as principal financial advisor to executive management and the board.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set the organisation's financial strategy, ensuring alignment with its infrastructure and industrial growth mandate.
  • Oversee treasury management, budgeting, and financial planning across all business units.
  • Lead capital structuring and financing arrangements for large-scale energy and power projects.
  • Manage relationships with investors, lenders, and development finance partners.
  • Ensure statutory compliance, robust internal controls, and audit readiness across the finance function.
  • Provide accurate, timely financial reporting to the board and relevant government oversight bodies.
  • Advise executive management on fiscal discipline, transparency, and long-term value creation.
  • Oversee financial risk management, safeguarding the organisation's fiduciary integrity.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Master's Degree (MBA, MSc in Finance, or related discipline) is an advantage.
  • Professional certifications such as ICAN, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent are required.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 13 15 years' progressive experience in Corporate Finance, Treasury, or Financial Management, with significant exposure to large-scale infrastructure or energy financing.
  • At least 7 years in a senior leadership role managing an organisation's finance function.
  • Demonstrated experience in capital raising, project finance, and multi-billion-naira budget oversight.
  • Experience working in the public sector, oil and gas, power, or infrastructure sectors is desirable
