Our client is seeking an inspiring Chief People Officer (CPO) to lead strategic and operational HR functions. The CPO will drive improvement of HR systems and processes, foster staff growth, build a diverse and equitable workforce, and advance commitment to innovation, racial and social justice. (Boston, MA ; Hybrid)
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all HR operations including payroll, recruitment, employee relations, benefits, talent development, compliance, and policy updates.
- Partner with executive leadership and legal partners on workplace policy, labor relations, and investigations.
- Lead adoption of new HR and ERP technologies and ensure compliance with evolving laws.
- Champion staff development and oversee the Consortium for Professional Development’s programming.
- Drive initiatives for staff appreciation, wellness, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Qualifications:
- 10–15 years’ HR leadership experience; 8+ years managing mid-to-large teams, ideally in government/public sector.
- Bachelor’s required; Master’s in HR Management or MBA preferred.
Additional Requirements:
- City of Boston residency required.
