Pay Rate: $25 – $32 per hour

Position Description:

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Internal Communications Specialist to develop, execute, and measure impactful communication strategies that support business initiatives, employee engagement, and organizational change efforts.

The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller and strategic communicator with experience creating audience-focused messaging across multiple internal communication channels. This role will partner closely with cross-functional teams, project stakeholders, and business leaders to deliver clear, engaging, and timely communications that drive awareness, alignment, and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, deliver, and measure internal communication strategies that support project objectives, organizational initiatives, and employee engagement goals.
  • Create compelling content for multiple communication channels, including intranet platforms, email campaigns, newsletters, digital signage, and collaboration tools.
  • Translate complex business information, project updates, and organizational changes into clear, employee-friendly messaging.
  • Support change management communications by creating communication plans, timelines, messaging frameworks, and engagement materials.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure communications are accurate, consistent, timely, and aligned with business priorities.
  • Write, edit, and review communications to ensure clarity, consistency, brand alignment, and compliance with established guidelines.
  • Manage communication calendars, content workflows, and project timelines using content management and project management tools.
  • Coordinate communication campaigns, internal events, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Collect, analyze, and report communication metrics, feedback, and engagement data to measure effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Leverage insights and analytics to enhance communication strategies and improve audience reach and impact.
  • Maintain internal communication channels and support continuous improvement of communication processes and tools.
  • Manage multiple priorities and deliverables in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Required Skills/Education:

  • 2+ years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, public relations, marketing communications, employee engagement, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Business, or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences.
  • Experience creating and executing communication plans across multiple digital platforms and communication channels.
  • Knowledge of employee engagement strategies, change communications, and organizational communication best practices.
  • Ability to simplify complex information into clear, concise, and engaging content.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage deadlines, priorities, and multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience collaborating with business partners, leadership teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on message quality, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Experience with internal communication platforms and tools such as SharePoint, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Staffbase, Asana, content management systems, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to analyze communication performance metrics and use data insights to improve communication effectiveness.
  • Proactive, adaptable team player with strong organizational, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
