Position: Community Social Development Planner with Research and Engagement Focus

As a Planner, you will assist the Community Social Development department with in-depth research and analysis while facilitating engagement processes. Your main responsibilities will include developing strategies in areas such as seniors’ services and social planning, ensuring comprehensive reports inform senior staff and councils. This role also involves monitoring social trends and pursuing grant opportunities to enhance community welfare initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct technical research and policy evaluation
• Assist with community accessibility and inclusion initiatives
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement processes
• Prepare reports for management and councils
• Collaborate on social development strategies
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Social Planning or related field
• 1 to 2 years’ experience in policy planning
• Knowledge of community planning principles
• Ability to produce quality reports and recommendations
• Valid Driver’s Licence for British Columbia
