We're looking for a dedicated Tanzanian Compliance Specialist/Manager to join our team in Tanzania.
This role is essential for establishing compliance systems, conducting thorough reviews, and managing regulatory risks.
If you have a solid understanding of compliance frameworks, basic legal knowledge, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams, this is your opportunity to drive a culture of integrity within a dynamic business environment.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze local laws, regulations, policies, and industry standards to develop and optimize compliance management plans across business units.
- Collaborate with teams to integrate compliance control plans directly into business processes and IT systems.
- Conduct comprehensive compliance reviews on contracts, agreements, business plans, and both internal and external documents, providing clear, actionable opinions.
- Engage and communicate effectively with external government institutions, law firms, industry associations, and key clients.
- Deliver training and enablement programs to enhance compliance awareness for internal staff and third-party partners.
- Manage and respond to compliance incidents, including external regulatory inspections and enforcement actions.
- Assist in operating and refining the compliance management mechanism, covering risk management, crisis drills, inspections, and knowledge management.
Skills & Knowledge Required:
- Solid understanding of basic legal concepts and fundamental principles of compliance management.
- Strong capabilities in project management to oversee compliance system implementation and tracking.
- High proficiency in standard office productivity software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional communication and influence skills to collaborate effectively with internal business units and external authorities.
- Fluency in English along with basic Chinese writing skills.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Law, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
