Job description:

Job Purpose

  • Required to strengthen predictive maintenance capability through routine condition monitoring activities. The role requires a vibration analyst certified to at least CAT II level, capable of performing vibration measurements, basic data analysis, and first-level diagnostics using portable and online monitoring tools. This position supports early fault detection on rotating equipment, reduces forced outages, and enhances maintenance decision-making through condition-based maintenance practices.
  • The role requires strong technical expertise, strict adherence to QHSE standards, and the ability to work effectively under tight schedules and operational constraints typical of a combined cycle power plant environment.

Main Tasks and Accountabilities

  • Perform routine and ad-hoc condition monitoring inspections using vibration analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasonic testing, oil analysis, and other predictive maintenance techniques.
  • Work under the direct supervision and established guidelines of the Mechanical and Reliability Engineers to execute CBM activities and analysis tasks.
  • Collect, analyze, and trend equipment condition data to identify early signs of degradation or potential failure.
  • Prepare clear, accurate technical reports with findings, trends, and recommendations aligned with plant maintenance strategies.
  • Establish and maintain baseline data and historical trends for rotating and static equipment (Pumps, motors, Fans, Valves, turbine, compressor, etc.).
  • Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis (RCA), and reliability improvement initiatives.
  • Execute CBM activities in accordance with plant Permit to Work (PTW) systems, procedures, and approvals.
  • Work efficiently under tight schedules and timelines, including during outages and critical operational windows.
  • Ensure full compliance with plant QHSE rules, policies, and regulations at all times.
  • Coordinate closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to minimize operational disruption.
  • Maintain CBM tools and instruments, ensuring calibration, proper handling, and readiness for use.
  • Analyze records, troubleshoot equipment defects and malfunction and provide procedure of recommendations to line manager.
  • Conducts Maintenance Statistical Analyses on down time and costs per equipment and system.
  • Identify short, medium and long-term action plans and maintenance strategies for equipment
  • Regular monitoring of equipment’s condition and running parameter applying on our CMMS (Maximo/SAP).
  • Tight coordination with production to get feedback on equipment conditions, equipment’s availability for maintenance inspection and production constraints
  • Tight coordination with maintenance team in different levels for data collection and corrective solutions recommendation to the highest industry best practices and guidelines.
  • Updating the completed tasks pertaining to inspections and re-check plant conditions after repair.
  • RCA preparation for critical equipment breakdowns.

Working Environment

Works 40% in office and 60% in field.

 Background Knowledge & Experience. 

Education Level – Minimum Preferred

  •  Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related technical discipline.

Professional Qualifications or licenses

  • Certification in Vibration Analysis (Category I/II/III), Infrared Thermography (Level I/II), or related disciplines is an advantage.
  • Hands on experience in AMS 2140 Emerson device or equivalent is mandatory.
  • CMRT certificate from SMRP is highly desirable.
  • Bentley Nevada 3500 system and system one knowledge and experience is highly desirable.
  • Maximo/SAP hands on experience.
