Lawyers on Demand, a Consilio Company, is urgently seeking two Contracts Specialists for an assignment with one of our well-known corporate clients.
Start: ASAP once interviewed and selected
Pay Rate: $40-$45/hour based on experience
Location: Fully Remote
Duration: Long-term, open-ended work
Job Description
The Contract Specialist will:
- draft, review, monitor and coordinate various business contracts
- work closely with other members of the North American legal team and business leaders to review contracts and expedite the contracting process
- assist in the development, implementation and management of the legal processes and systems assist with claims and other commercial matters
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Draft, review, monitor and coordinate various commercial contracts including NDAs, service agreements, procurement agreements, government contracts and SLA's.
- Interact with the legal team and other business leaders and managers within the organization to ensure timely and accurate contract preparation, proper documentation, and problem resolution.
- Identify incorrect, inconsistent, and incomplete data entries in the designated contract management system (and on assigned requests) on a continuous basis.
- Communicate with the legal and business teams related to necessary information and proper documentation regarding contracts on a regular basis.
- Assist in resolving claims and other commercial matters.
- Assist in creating standard forms of contracts.
- Assist with developing and implementing legal processes and guidelines.
- Assist in preparing responses to customer requests for proposals.
- Identify potential legal issues and advise management.
- Perform other duties as assigned or necessary.
Required Experience
- 4 years+ hands on knowledge of paralegal and contract management
- Minimum one year in-house legal experience preferred but not required
