Join Vertical Scope Group’s (VSG) Professional Services Division as we’re securing a Contracts Officer (Electromagnetic Warfare Intelligence Systems (EWIS) Joint & Air SPO) to join our award-winning team.
- Short term project-based opportunity to work within the government space
- Multiple locations available for this role – Adelaide/Canberra/RAAF Edinburgh
- NV1(min) required with an uplift to NV2 on successful contract
We are looking for driven and highly skilled, NV1 (min) security cleared Contracts Officer with various levels of knowledge and experience to work in our Adelaide/Canberra team, supporting our Defence and Intelligence customer. As a Contracts Officer, you will provide support to sustainment activities within the SPO providing oversight of all commercial aspects of contracts and agreements. Specifically, you will participate in the fulfilment of all contract requirements, interface with internal business areas to ensure and assure contract compliance.
Your Key Responsibilities as a Contracts Officer include…
- Support the development of tender and conduct response evaluation
- Assists with the commercial and procurement functions in the sustainment areas.
- Assists with planning, organising and developing all procurement documentation required for projects, and obtains relevant internal approvals.
- Assist with the planning for, undertaking due diligence, engagement and management of subcontractors.
- Assist with commercial risk, opportunity and issues management
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Manage the contractual, procurement and financial activities.
- Participating in courses/training/workshops as necessary.
- Additional Project tasking as designated by the Project Director, Deputy Project Director and Project Manager.
Qualifications and experience we are looking for:
- Background in contract management; program/project support functions and reporting skills
- Demonstrated familiarity of Commonwealth and Defence procurement policies
- Effective written and communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously, under remote working conditions, and demonstrate an ability to meet demanding milestones
- Experience with export controls and ITAR (desirable).
- Experience in financial planning, pricing, planning, billing procedures and contract administration.
- A high level of competence and experience in using Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other Project team members and stakeholders, including below the line contactors and other Defence agencies.
- Managing work tasks that align with the project’s strategic objectives and communicate expected outcomes
