Company overview
Our client is seeking a proactive, professional, and results-oriented Corporate Affairs Officer to support the company's strategic partnerships, stakeholder engagement, government relations, and business growth initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing relationships with key stakeholders, particularly the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), while supporting partnership development, contract coordination, business development activities, and stakeholder engagement efforts. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional to contribute to the company's growth, while building valuable relationships across government and corporate sectors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Partnership Management
* Support the development, implementation, and management of strategic partnership initiatives.
* Maintain productive relationships with government agencies, regulators, strategic partners, and corporate stakeholders.
* Serve as the day-to-day liaison between the company and strategic partners.
* Coordinate stakeholder meetings, engagements, and follow-up activities.
* Support the execution of partnership agreements and collaborative initiatives.
SON Relationship Coordination
* Act as the primary coordination point for the company's engagement with the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON).
* Coordinate meetings, workshops, project reviews, and stakeholder engagements involving SON.
* Track agreed actions, deliverables, and commitments arising from stakeholder engagements.
* Ensure effective communication between the company and SON.
* Support the resolution of stakeholder concerns and operational issues.
Business Development Support
* Identify and monitor opportunities within government agencies, regulatory bodies, and strategic sectors.
* Support proposal preparation, bid submissions, presentations, and partnership documentation.
* Facilitate meetings between prospective clients and the management.
* Maintain a pipeline of partnership and business development opportunities.
* Support initiatives aimed at expanding the company's market presence.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
* Prepare reports, presentations, briefing notes, correspondence, and meeting minutes.
* Coordinate stakeholder communications and ensure timely responses.
* Maintain records of stakeholder interactions, agreements, and engagements.
* Foster positive relationships that enhance the company's reputation and credibility.
Corporate Representation
* Represent the company at conferences, exhibitions, workshops, industry forums, and networking events.
* Promote the company's products, services, and strategic objectives.
* Support networking activities that contribute to business growth and visibility.
* Maintain a professional image consistent with the company's values and standards.
Administrative & Reporting Responsibilities
* Prepare weekly and monthly stakeholder engagement reports.
* Maintain partnership and stakeholder databases.
* Track key activities and provide progress updates to management.
* Ensure proper documentation of meetings, agreements, and correspondence.
* Support the execution of strategic initiatives and special projects.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in any of the following disciplines (essential):
* Business Administration
* Public Administration
* Political Science
* International Relations
* Marketing
* Mass Communication
* Law
* Information Technology
* Economics
* Or any related field
Desirable
* Professional certifications in Business Development, Public Relations, Corporate Affairs, Stakeholder Management, or Project Management.
* Additional training in Government Relations, Business Development, or Strategic Partnerships.
EXPERIENCE
Essential
* Minimum of 2–5 years relevant experience in:

Desirable
* Experience working with government agencies, regulatory bodies, or technology companies.
* Knowledge of the Nigerian public sector environment.
* Previous engagements with organisations such as SON, NITDA, NCS, NAFDAC, NCC, CAC, FIRS, NIMC, or similar institutions.
