We are looking for a commercially sharp and culturally fluent leader to take full ownership of our Thailand market. As Country Manager, you will be the most senior in-country executive — responsible for driving end-to-end business performance, from brand positioning and digital commerce to P&L delivery and team leadership.
This is a high-autonomy, high-accountability role for someone who thrives in dynamic, fast-growing consumer markets and is ready to build something meaningful. You will work closely with regional and global leadership while having the freedom to shape the country strategy and culture from the ground up.
Full relocation support to Bangkok, Thailand is provided for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
1. P&L Ownership & Business Performance
- Own the full country P&L — revenue, gross margin, operating costs, and EBITDA targets
- Set annual and quarterly business plans with clear KPIs; track, report, and course-correct with speed
- Identify and capitalise on market opportunities to accelerate growth and improve profitability
- Manage budgets efficiently and ensure commercial discipline across all functions
2. E-Commerce & Social Commerce
- Lead the digital commerce strategy across Shopee, TikTok Shop, Lazada, and emerging platforms
- Drive platform performance — GMV growth, conversion rates, CAC, and repeat purchase
- Oversee content, campaign execution, and promotional calendars in partnership with the marketing team
- Stay ahead of platform algorithm changes, consumer trends, and emerging channel opportunities in Thailand
3. Brand & Commercial Strategy
- Translate global and regional brand direction into locally relevant marketing and commercial plans
- Lead go-to-market strategies for new product launches and seasonal campaigns
- Oversee pricing, trade terms, and promotional mechanics across all channels
- Ensure brand consistency and quality across all consumer-facing touchpoints
4. Sales & Channel Management
- Manage and grow relationships with key retail partners, distributors, and e-commerce platform partners
- Develop offline and online channel mix to maximise reach and revenue
- Negotiate commercial terms, listing fees, and joint business plans with strategic partners
- Monitor competitive landscape and adjust channel strategy accordingly
5. Team Leadership & Culture
- Build, develop, and retain a high-performing, multidisciplinary in-country team
- Create a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement
- Provide clear direction, coaching, and performance management across all direct reports
- Collaborate effectively with multicultural regional and global teams
6. Stakeholder & Government Relations
- Serve as the primary representative of the company with Thai authorities, business partners, and industry bodies
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, labour laws, and company policies
- Build and maintain a strong network of strategic relationships across the market
Requirements
- 5–8 years of progressive experience in FMCG, fashion, or beauty — spanning both brand management and commercial/sales roles
- Demonstrated track record in at least two of: marketing, trade/channel, e-commerce, business development
- Prior experience in a senior country, regional, or general management role preferred
- Has owned a P&L or managed a business unit with clear revenue and margin accountability
- Experience building and executing multi-channel commercial strategies
- Strong analytical mindset — comfortable with data, dashboards, and commercial modelling
- Hands-on experience managing business on Shopee, TikTok Shop, Lazada, or equivalent platforms
- Deep understanding of social commerce mechanics, influencer ecosystems, and platform algorithms
- Ability to translate digital trends into actionable revenue strategies
