Role Description The Crew Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Intramuros, responsible for supporting end-to-end crew management activities. This role involves coordinating recruitment, selection, and deployment schedules for seafarers across various vessel types and principals, ensuring compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements. The Crew Coordinator maintains accurate crew records and documentation, monitors contract expirations, and prepares joining, rejoining, and repatriation arrangements in coordination with principals, agencies, and internal departments. Day-to-day tasks include responding to crew and principal inquiries, assisting with training and briefing schedules, and helping secure clearances, visas, and other travel requirements. The role also contributes to crew welfare initiatives, supports continuous improvement of crewing processes, and collaborates with team members to meet deployment targets and service standards.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills, including clear written and verbal correspondence with crew members, principals, and internal stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience or strong interest in Crewing operations, such as crew deployment, documentation, and compliance with maritime and labor regulations.
- Training coordination skills, with the ability to assist in scheduling, tracking, and documenting mandatory and developmental training for seafarers.
- Organization Skills to manage multiple crew assignments, timelines, and records accurately and efficiently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Familiarity with maritime industry standards, POEA regulations, and MLC 2006 requirements is an advantage.
- Proficiency in standard office software and, preferably, experience with crewing or HR information systems.
