Join the Department of Justice as a Community Safety Analyst, spearheading crime prevention initiatives in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. Lead collaborative efforts tackling organized crime, firearms, and drug trafficking.

As a Community Safety Analyst, you’ll report directly to the Manager of Community Programs.

Your role is pivotal in developing, implementing, and evaluating initiatives aimed at enhancing public safety. Collaborate closely with various partners to foster safer communities through targeted strategies and comprehensive research efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and evaluate crime prevention initiatives

• Analyze data related to organized crime and firearms

• Provide technical guidance as a subject matter expert

• Establish and nurture stakeholder partnerships

Requirements:

• Degree in social science or equivalent

• Minimum 5 years practical experience in the justice system

• Strong analytical and communication skills

• Knowledge of NWT justice regulations and policies

• Experience working with Indigenous and community organizations
