About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Customs Entry Writer to join a growing operations team in Charlotte.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit customs entries through ACE in compliance with CBP regulations
- Classify imported goods using HTS codes and determine applicable duties/taxes
- Review commercial invoices, packing lists, and shipping documents for accuracy
- Ensure compliance with Partner Government Agencies (FDA, USDA, etc.)
- Communicate with clients, customs officials, and carriers to resolve entry issues
- Monitor shipment status and proactively address delays or discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records and support audits when required
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in customs brokerage, freight forwarding, or import operations
- Solid knowledge of CBP regulations and tariff classification
- Strong attention to detail with excellent data accuracy skills
- Experience with customs systems (e.g., CargoWise, ABI software)
- Ability to manage multiple entries and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
