General Description
We are seeking an experienced Cyber Strategy Consultant to support a major strategic initiative focused on long-term cyber capability development, ecosystem partnerships, and technology growth planning.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership to help shape a 5-year cyber technology roadmap aligned with business growth objectives and evolving defense market priorities. This role requires a commercially minded consultant with strong experience across cyber strategy, defense technology, partnerships, and emerging technology ecosystems.
The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking, market analysis, and stakeholder engagement skills with a strong understanding of cyber and defense sector trends.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing a 5-year cyber technology roadmap aligned with organizational growth objectives and defense market priorities.
- Identify, assess, and prioritize strategic partnerships across industry, government, academia, and technology ecosystems.
- Evaluate market entry opportunities, collaboration models, and strategic positioning across relevant cyber segments.
- Analyze emerging technologies, market trends, and capability gaps to identify potential competitive advantages.
- Support development of business cases for partnerships, investments, strategic initiatives, and capability expansion opportunities.
- Provide strategic insights on ecosystem developments, regulatory considerations, and industry trends impacting the cyber landscape.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and strategic assessments to support executive decision-making.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support partnership discussions and strategic planning activities.
- Contribute to strategic recommendations around innovation, capability development, and long-term cyber growth initiatives.
- Support executive presentations, strategic documentation, and roadmap planning activities.
Requirements
- Around 10 years of experience in cyber strategy, technology strategy, defense consulting, or related strategic advisory roles.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity ecosystems, defense technology markets, and emerging cyber capabilities.
- Experience developing strategic roadmaps, growth plans, partnership strategies, or market expansion initiatives.
- Proven ability to evaluate strategic partnerships, collaboration opportunities, and ecosystem relationships.
- Strong commercial awareness and business strategy mindset.
- Experience working with senior leadership, executive stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning capabilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in complex and high-profile strategic environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within defense, government, cybersecurity, or national security sectors.
- Exposure to emerging cyber technologies, digital transformation, and innovation ecosystems.
- Understanding of regional and international cyber regulatory environments.
- Experience supporting investment evaluations, strategic ventures, or partnership frameworks.
- Background in management consulting, corporate strategy, or technology advisory is advantageous.
