Job Title: Data Analytics Specialist
Location: Edmonton, AB remote

Pay Rate: $80- $90/hr. CAD
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered.
- 6+ years of experience using statistical and programming languages such as R, Python, and SQL.
- 2+ years of experience building and deploying end-to-end analytical or AI-enabled applications, including:
- Data ingestion and modeling
- User-facing solutions using modern web frameworks such as React.js, Vue.js, or similar technologies
- Delivering intuitive data visualization and insight consumption experiences
- 6+ years of experience developing analytical and quantitative analysis models.
- 6+ years of experience working on projects involving Data Science, Data Engineering, and/or Artificial Intelligence (AI).
- 6+ years of experience preparing data for predictive and prescriptive modeling.
- 6+ years of experience applying advanced data analytics and data science methodologies, including complex statistical modeling.
- 6+ years of experience utilizing statistical analysis and data mining techniques to solve critical business challenges.
- 5+ years of experience with:
- Data sharing and data linkage
- Data de-identification
- Metadata management
- Data quality and ethics
- Synthetic data and data literacy initiatives
- Promoting the effective use of government data
- 5+ years of experience integrating and combining raw data from multiple sources across different domains.
- 5+ years of experience engaging with stakeholders and effectively communicating complex data concepts in a clear and thoughtful manner.
- 3+ years of experience designing and maintaining:
- Data pipelines
- Data analytics workflows
- Data product workflows
- 5+ years of experience understanding complex business problems and translating them into actionable analytical questions and solutions.
- 3+ years of experience creating:
- Data visualizations
- Dashboards
- Analytical reporting models
- 3+ years of experience working with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark, and/or cloud platforms including Azure and Snowflake.
- 3+ years of experience working with large-scale government datasets.
