Role Description The Deputy Chief of Staff is a full-time, on-site role based in Heliopolis, supporting senior leadership in strategy execution, operations coordination, and cross-functional alignment. This role manages key initiatives, tracks progress against strategic goals, and prepares concise reports and briefings for executive decision-making. The Deputy Chief of Staff coordinates internal meetings, follows up on action items, and ensures effective communication between leadership and teams across the organization. They support project planning and prioritization, help streamline processes, and contribute to the design and implementation of sustainability-related programs. Day-to-day responsibilities also include drafting executive communications, preparing presentations, supporting stakeholder engagement, and assisting with special projects that advance Empower Capital ES’s mission.
Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong strategic planning, project management, and organizational skills to support complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Candidates should possess analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret data, monitor KPIs, and recommend operational improvements.
  • Candidates should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive briefings, presentations, and stakeholder-facing materials.
  • Candidates should possess relationship-building and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leadership and diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Candidates should possess skills in time management, prioritization, and attention to detail to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines.
  • Relevant experience in sustainability, renewable energy, agribusiness, or impact-driven organizations is highly beneficial.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, economics, public policy, environmental studies, or a related field is required; a graduate degree is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment, maintain confidentiality, and exercise sound judgment is essential.
