As part of its growth strategy, the company is seeking a highly strategic and commercially driven Business Development Director to lead physician partnership initiatives, expand its practitioner network, and drive business growth through strategic collaborations and market development.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Business Development & Network Expansion
• Develop and execute business development strategies to expand the organization's healthcare practitioner network and market presence
• Identify, engage, and secure partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), senior practitioners, healthcare experts, and strategic industry stakeholders.
• Lead high-level negotiations and structure mutually beneficial partnership agreements.
• Drive new clinic expansion opportunities and strategic growth initiatives.
2. Leadership & Team Management
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Business Development team.
• Establish, monitor, and manage team KPIs related to practitioner engagement, recruitment, partnership acquisition, and revenue growth.
• Foster a performance-driven culture focused on relationship management, business growth, and operational excellence.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and performance management to ensure business objectives are consistently achieved.
3. Healthcare Market Development
• Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, practitioner needs, and emerging opportunities within the healthcare sector.
• Develop market intelligence and provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Identify new service offerings, partnership models, and business opportunities that support long-term organizational growth.
• Strengthen the organization's positioning as a preferred healthcare partner and employer within the industry.
4. Key Stakeholder & Partnership Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare practitioners, clinic owners, medical associations, academic institutions, and healthcare organizations.
• Serve as a senior representative of the organization during strategic discussions, negotiations, and industry engagements.
• Ensure successful onboarding, integration, and retention of healthcare partners and practitioners.
• Develop long-term partnerships that contribute to sustainable business growth.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Human Resources, Marketing, and Clinical Leadership teams to align business development initiatives with organizational objectives.
• Support clinic growth strategies through coordinated recruitment, marketing, and operational planning.
• Work with internal stakeholders to optimize practitioner experience and patient service delivery.
6. Industry Representation
• Represent the organisation at healthcare conferences, exhibitions, seminars, networking events, and professional forums.
• Establish strategic relationships with government agencies, healthcare institutions, and industry associations.
• Enhance brand visibility and thought leadership within the healthcare ecosystem.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Life Sciences, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Pharmacy, or a related field.
• Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in business development, healthcare partnerships, physician recruitment, healthcare operations, or related fields.
• At least 3–5 years of leadership experience managing and scaling business development or commercial teams.
• Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, including practitioner engagement, clinic operations, and healthcare ecosystem dynamics.
• Existing network of healthcare professionals, medical practitioners, KOLs, healthcare organisations, or industry stakeholders is highly desirable. Strong strategic planning, negotiation, stakeholder management, and leadership capabilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage senior healthcare professionals and executive stakeholders.
• Self-driven, commercially minded, and capable of driving large-scale growth initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
