As NexDeed continues to grow, we are seeking a Director of Capital Markets to lead the company’s fundraising strategy and investor development efforts. This is a senior role responsible for originating investor relationships, building a structured capital pipeline, managing investor conversations, and helping the company successfully raise and close capital.
The Director of Capital Markets will work closely with leadership to develop and execute NexDeed’s fundraising strategy while building relationships with institutional investors, strategic partners, family offices, and high net worth investors.
This role is designed for an experienced fundraiser who can independently develop investor relationships, lead investor discussions through the fundraising process, and advance opportunities through diligence and closing with the goal of converting investor interest into signed investment commitments.
Key Responsibilities
Capital Strategy and Fundraising
- Develop and execute NexDeed’s overall fundraising strategy in coordination with company leadership
- Identify, source, and develop relationships with potential investors including venture funds, family offices, strategic investors, and high net worth individuals
- Build and manage a structured investor pipeline focused on generating and closing investment opportunities
- Lead investor conversations and advance opportunities through the fundraising process with the objective of converting interest into signed investment commitments
- Represent NexDeed with credibility in investor discussions and capital market environments
Investor Pipeline Development
- Create and maintain a structured investor pipeline with clearly defined stages and engagement strategies
- Proactively originate new investor relationships through outreach, introductions, and network development
- Build long term investor relationships that support both current and future fundraising efforts
- Track investor engagement and pipeline progress to ensure consistent advancement toward commitments
- Drive investor engagement from initial outreach through committed investment participation
Fundraising Process Management
- Manage the overall fundraising process including investor outreach, follow ups, and meeting coordination
- Maintain investor materials including pitch decks, investor updates, and data room organization
- Coordinate diligence processes and ensure investors receive information required to evaluate the opportunity
- Manage closing workflow including SAFE execution, documentation coordination, and finalizing investor commitments
Founder Coordination
- Coordinate founder participation in investor conversations when strategically appropriate
- Advance investor discussions independently when possible, with founder involvement occurring at key moments in the process
- Ensure founder time is focused on high value investor relationships and strategic discussions
Market and Investor Engagement
- Represent NexDeed in investor meetings, industry events, and capital markets discussions
- Develop relationships within the venture capital, strategic investor, and private capital ecosystems
- Monitor capital market trends and investor activity relevant to the company’s growth strategy
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience raising capital and closing investment transactions
- Candidates should have direct experience participating in or leading capital raises and be comfortable advancing investor conversations through to commitment
- This role is best suited for individuals who have personally participated in raising institutional or private capital and are comfortable leading investor conversations through to signed commitments
- Experience working directly with founders or executive teams during fundraising processes
- Strong network within venture capital, private equity, family office, or strategic investor communities
- Ability to originate investor relationships and develop a consistent pipeline of potential investors
- Experience managing investor diligence processes and coordinating closing activities
- Strong communication and relationship building skills in investor environments
- Ability to operate effectively in an early stage or rapidly growing company environment
Preferred Experience
- Experience raising capital for technology companies, SaaS platforms, fintech, govtech, or real estate technology companies
- Backgrounds such as venture capital associates, fundraising consultants, private placement agents, or investment bankers transitioning into operating roles are highly relevant
- Familiarity with early stage fundraising structures including SAFE agreements and venture financing
- Background working with startup founders and scaling companies through early funding rounds
Compensation
Compensation for this role will include a competitive base salary along with equity participation aligned with senior leadership roles in early stage companies. In addition, compensation may include performance based incentives tied to capital successfully raised, including participation or carry structures designed to reward successful fundraising outcomes.
Role Impact
The Director of Capital Markets will play a critical role in supporting NexDeed’s growth by building investor relationships, developing a strong fundraising pipeline, and successfully closing capital. Performance in this role will ultimately be measured by capital raised and the ability to convert investor engagement into committed investment participation.
