As we expand our reach and deepen our community impact, we are seeking a strategic and mission-aligned Director of Philanthropy, Grants & Community Engagement to join our growing team.
The Role
This part-time, independent contractor position is fully remote and designed for an experienced philanthropy professional who is passionate about empowering women and advancing mission-driven organizations. You will lead Emerge's grant strategy, cultivate donor and community relationships, and position the organization for sustainable philanthropic growth.
What You'll Do
- Identify, research, and pursue grant opportunities aligned with Emerge's mission from foundations, government agencies, and corporate partners
- Write and submit compelling grant proposals and manage reporting requirements for awarded grants
- Build and steward relationships with donors, community partners, and philanthropic organizations
- Develop and execute a community engagement strategy that elevates Emerge's visibility and impact
- Collaborate with the CEO to align philanthropic initiatives with organizational goals and growth priorities
- Track and report on fundraising metrics, grant pipelines, and community partnership outcomes
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in philanthropy, grant writing, fundraising, and/or community engagement
- A proven track record of securing grants and building donor relationships
- Exceptional written communication skills — you can tell a mission-driven story that moves people to act
- Experience working with nonprofit, faith-based, and/or women-focused organizations is strongly preferred
- Self-directed, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a remote, fast-moving environment
- Alignment with Emerge's faith-based values and commitment to empowering women
