** Description of Work
** This DMF Fishery Management and Policy Section Chief coordinates the implementation of the Division’s Fishery Management Plan (FMP) development process, including coordination and tracking of implementation. The position is responsible for reviewing/developing state level fisheries management policy. In addition, this position is responsible for review/development of potential legislation as it relates to state fisheries management or associated DMF/Marine Fisheries Commission (MFC) responsibilities.

• Supervision of FMP coordinators, stock assessment staff, and MFC support staff.

Bachelor’s degree in one of the agricultural, biological, engineering, environmental or natural resource sciences or a closely related curriculum from an appropriately accredited institution and five years of progressive experience in environmental work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
