Salary range: $42-45/hr
Job Summary
Provides operational support for global pharmacovigilance activities for investigational and marketed products. Ensures safety deliverables meet global regulatory requirements and timelines while supporting data analysis, system improvements, and compliance activities
Key Responsibilities
Safety Data & Reporting
- Process and review safety data to develop aggregate safety reports
- Support responses to regulatory agency requests
- Manage data extraction queries for PV documents
- Participate in signal detection and analysis activities
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure adherence to pharmacovigilance regulations and SOPs
- Support audits, inspections, and CAPA activities
- Coordinate submission of aggregate safety reports
- Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs on safety documentation
Systems & Process Support
- Support PV database configuration and updates
- Partner with IT to test and validate system changes
- Lead change management and process improvements
- Maintain documentation (SOPs, WPs, specifications)
Scientific Literature Review
- Support literature search strategies
- Review scientific articles and determine required actions
Qualifications
- Degree in Health Sciences, Biosciences, or IT (with PV experience)
- 2+ years in pharmacovigilance
- 2+ years working with databases/systems
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of pharmacovigilance regulations
- Experience with MedDRA, WHO Drug, and E2B
- Knowledge of safety databases (Argus preferred)
- Familiarity with GxP/GMP environments and system validation
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Experience with reporting tools (Business Objects preferred)
