About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Grant Administrator to support the delivery and financial oversight of government-funded child care programs in Alberta. This role focuses on grant evaluation, program administration, stakeholder support, and policy improvement within the early childhood education sector.
Key Responsibilities
Grant Administration & Financial Oversight
- Assess and determine eligibility for child care grant funding
- Review applications and recommend funding decisions
- Ensure compliance with financial legislation and government policies
- Identify and resolve payment or delivery issues
Program Support & Operations
- Provide guidance to child care providers and educators on grant processes
- Support users in navigating the Early Childhood Development System (ECDS) portal
- Review grant agreements and supporting documentation
- Maintain accurate records, reporting, and data tracking
- Manage inquiries, requests, and shared inbox communications
Policy & Process Improvement
- Recommend enhancements to policies and program delivery
- Interpret and apply grant policies and guidelines
- Conduct research and support strategic initiatives
- Assist in system improvements and implementation
Stakeholder Engagement & Issue Resolution
- Address inquiries and resolve complaints from stakeholders
- Support investigation and resolution of grant-related issues
- Collaborate with internal teams and provide training to new staff
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with government programs or the public sector
- Background in grant funding or financial administration
- Knowledge of child care or early childhood education sector

- Experience with data systems, reporting, and process improvement
