JOIN OUR TEAM— The City of South Burlington is seeking a collaborative and impactful leader to join our team as our next Economic Development Director. Join a team of dynamic, effective, and passionate people working to advance one of the fastest-growing communities in the region!
WHAT YOU WILL DO: As the Economic Development Director, you will:
- Implement the City’s Economic Development Strategic Plan.
- Steward partnerships, support business growth, strengthen key industry clusters, advance workforce and talent initiatives, and help shape vibrant places such as City Center and future mixed-use districts.
- Ensure that South Burlington’s economic growth reflects its climate leadership, community identity, and long-term goals.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: Bachelor’s degree in economic development, public administration, planning, business, or related field. 7–10 years of increasingly responsible experience in economic development, innovation ecosystems, cluster development, planning, or municipal management.
SALARY RANGE: $95,000 to $125,000 annually
