Position: Emergency Communications Dispatcher Role

Working directly with Fire Services, you’ll evaluate incoming calls to assess service needs and ensure accurate routing to the appropriate agencies. This critical position demands strong interpersonal skills, logical judgement in emergencies, and the capability to operate under minimal supervision while recording vital information accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and evaluate all incoming emergency calls

• Route callers to the appropriate service agencies

• Monitor calls to ensure efficient response

• Maintain accurate records of communications

• Provide dispatch support to emergency services

Requirements:

• Grade 12 diploma required

• Emergency Fire Dispatch certification required

• Experience in communications or emergency services

• Valid class 5 driver’s license required

• Criminal Record Check needed upon hire
