Join LNIB as a Referrals Analyst focusing on Environmental Assessment. This role requires analytical skills, knowledge of resource management, and a commitment to Indigenous rights in a primarily office-based setting.

The Referrals Analyst will report to the Title and Rights Manager and engage in environmental assessments and regulatory processes. You’ll coordinate LNIB’s involvement by researching, analyzing, and responding to referral requests while managing strict deadlines. Building relationships with Crown governments and external proponents is vital to this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review referrals on environmental assessments and regulatory proceedings

• Assess impacts of developments on LNIB Rights and Title

• Facilitate team reviews and provide project monitoring support

• Represent LNIB in external communications and relationships

• Draft briefing notes for Chief and Council

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field

• 1-3 years’ experience with First Nations in resource management

• Knowledge of the Crown consultation process

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Familiarity with Indigenous rights and relevant legislation
