Executive Assistant to a Global Board Chair & Strategic Advisor

Remote (NYC preferred)

Full-time | Confidential Search

We are conducting an exclusive search on behalf of a confidential principal – an internationally respected business leader, board chair and strategic advisor operating at the highest levels of finance, climate, philanthropy, global public life and international affairs.

This is not a traditional corporate EA role. It is a long-term operational partnership with a principal whose days move between board leadership, strategic conversations, global travel, high-profile public engagements and senior stakeholder relationships across business, government and civil society. Her previous Executive Assistant stayed for 20 years until retirement. That is the kind of partnership on offer here.

The principal is highly communicative, globally minded, intellectually curious and genuinely enjoyable to support. She values strong judgment, long-term relationships and a trusted counterpart who creates order and momentum without adding noise. She does not need to be managed – she needs to be supported at the level she has always operated at.

What you will own:

Calendar & Communications

  • Complete ownership of a complex, multi-board calendar across time zones – she runs on her schedule, not the other way around
  • Email management – distilling, prioritising and drafting with precision
  • Liaison with senior executives, board offices, chiefs of staff and external stakeholders at the highest level

Travel

  • Extensive international travel coordination – private and commercial, multi-destination, executed without friction
  • Preferences known without being asked. Favourite seat booked before she thinks to mention it
  • Contingencies already in place before anything goes wrong

Operations & Life Management

  • Creating flow and clarity across a fast-moving professional life spanning multiple boards, advisory roles, philanthropic commitments and public engagements
  • Acting as a trusted extension of the principal across every interaction
  • Anticipating needs and removing friction before it appears

Who you are:

  • A seasoned professional with significant EA experience supporting CEOs, board chairs, founders or UHNW principals – in long-term positions where trust was built over time
  • Background spanning finance, private equity, philanthropy, climate, media or global public affairs
  • Comfortable in the world where business, government, climate and civil society intersect -and at ease with the relationships and conversations that come with it
  • Deeply organised, instinctively proactive and calm under pressure – you have seen most things before and very little rattles you
  • Tech forward and contemporary with AI tools – you use them naturally, not reluctantly
  • Exceptional discretion and communication skills across every context
  • Entirely comfortable – and entirely unfazed – operating in proximity to highly influential, public-facing individuals. Quiet confidence and grounded maturity are non-negotiable
  • East Coast-based strongly preferred; occasional in-person meetings with the principal required

Salary – $180k-$200k base + full benefits package + bonus.

This is a confidential search. All enquiries are treated with the utmost discretion.
