JOB OVERVIEW:

Support the day-to-day Compensation & Benefits function by ensuring accurate payroll administration, statutory compliance, employee lifecycle transactions, HRIS data integrity, and timely reporting. Support the implementation of HR policies and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Payroll Administration

  • Process monthly payroll accurately and within the stipulated timeline.
  • Verify payroll inputs including new hires, resignations, salary adjustments, allowances, overtime, leave encashment, and statutory deductions.
  • Coordinate with payroll vendors (where applicable) and resolve payroll discrepancies.

Compensation & Benefits Administration

  • Administer employee benefits including medical, insurance, allowances, and other benefit programmes.
  • Process employee claims and benefit-related transactions.
  • Maintain employee compensation and benefits records.

Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure timely submission and payment of statutory contributions including EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, and HRD Corp.
  • Liaise with relevant government agencies on statutory matters.
  • Ensure compliance with the Employment Act and internal HR policies.

HR Operations

  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding documentation.
  • Prepare employment contracts, confirmation, promotion, transfer, salary revision, and other HR letters.
  • Maintain accurate employee records within the HR Information System (HRIS).

HR Reporting & Data Management

  • Prepare monthly HR reports including payroll reports, headcount, turnover, and manpower statistics.
  • Analyse HR data and provide accurate reports to support management decision-making.
  • Ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.

HR Process Improvement

  • Participate in HR digitalisation and process improvement initiatives.
  • Recommend improvements to payroll and HR operational processes.
  • Support HR audits and compliance reviews.

General

  • Provide guidance to employees on payroll, benefits, and statutory matters.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate superior / Management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Compensation & Benefits, Payroll, or HR Operations.
  • Hands-on experience in processing end-to-end payroll.
  • Familiar with Malaysian employment legislation and statutory requirements.
  • Good knowledge of payroll administration, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, HRD Corp, Employment Act 1955, HRIS and Microsoft Excel (Pivot Table, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
