Role Description The Executive Director of Operations is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing day-to-day operational performance across Bright Oak’s divisions and initiatives. This role leads the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of operational processes, ensuring that services, tools, and logistics are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with regulatory and partner requirements. The Executive Director of Operations will manage cross-functional teams, coordinate with leadership on strategic priorities, and track key performance metrics related to project execution, customer satisfaction, and program scalability. Daily responsibilities include optimizing workflows, forecasting resource needs, guiding budgeting and procurement, and supporting government and institutional compliance. The role also collaborates closely with partners, vendors, and customers to strengthen relationships, respond to operational issues, and support future growth in emergency management and public safety markets.
Qualifications
- Strong Operations Management experience, including process design, workflow optimization, and cross-functional coordination.
- Robust Analytical Skills for interpreting data, building forecasts, evaluating performance metrics, and informing operational decisions.
- Proven Team Management abilities, including mentoring, performance management, and leading distributed or remote teams.
- Demonstrated Budgeting skills, including cost control, resource allocation, and financial reporting for projects and programs.
- Commitment to high-quality Customer Service with experience supporting institutional, government, or community-facing stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex operational information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Experience in emergency management, public safety, logistics, or related fields is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, Public Administration, or a related discipline; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Comfort working in a remote environment, with strong organizational skills, self-direction, and proficiency with digital collaboration tools.
