Summary

The Executive Vice President & General Manager (EVP & GM) is a senior enterprise leader with full accountability for the performance, growth, and client satisfaction of a portfolio‑based business. The role oversees multiple Business Group Managers who manage portfolios of client accounts and delivery teams.

The EVP & GM is responsible for ensuring exceptional client outcomes, operational excellence, financial performance, and sustained account growth. This leader balances strategic vision with hands‑on execution, driving consistent delivery, developing leadership talent, and strengthening long‑term client partnerships.

Duties and Functions

Client Satisfaction & Relationship Management

  • Own executive‑level relationships with key clients and portfolios, ensuring high satisfaction, trust, and long‑term partnership.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex client issues, ensuring timely resolution and service recovery.
  • Champion a client‑centric culture focused on value delivery, responsiveness, and measurable outcomes.
  • Partner with Business Group Managers to understand client needs, anticipate risks, and expand scope of services.

Delivery & Operational Excellence

  • Ensure consistent, high‑quality delivery across all accounts and portfolios.
  • Establish and enforce delivery standards, performance expectations, and governance models.
  • Monitor service execution, staffing effectiveness, and operational KPIs across Business Groups.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and scalability.
  • Partner with Operations, HR, and enabling functions to ensure teams are properly staffed, trained, and supported.

Financial Performance & P&L Ownership

  • Own full P&L responsibility for assigned portfolios, including revenue, gross profit, cost management, forecast accuracy, and growth.
  • Ensure Business Group Managers meet or exceed financial targets.
  • Review and approve budgets, pricing strategies, and investment decisions.
  • Analyze financial performance and proactively address risks and opportunities.
  • Drive disciplined execution around financial controls, forecasting, and reporting.

Account Growth & Business Expansion

  • Lead and support account growth strategies, including renewals, upsells, cross‑selling, and expansion into new services or geographies.
  • Partner with Business Development teams on strategic pursuits and large opportunities.
  • Ensure growth plans are realistic, measurable, and aligned to delivery capabilities.
  • Identify trends and market opportunities within existing client portfolios.
  • Expand from our core business by identifying and pursuing adjacent and tangential opportunities.

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high‑performing team of Business Group, and Account Managers.
  • Set clear performance expectations, accountability frameworks, and development plans.
  • Develop future leaders through coaching, succession planning, and talent engagement.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, execution excellence, and continuous learning.

Strategic Planning & Collaboration

  • Contribute to enterprise strategy as a core member of the executive leadership team.
  • Translate corporate strategy into actionable plans across portfolios and business groups.
  • Collaborate closely with Growth, Operations, Finance, HR, IT, and Compliance leaders.
  • Provide regular executive reporting on performance, risks, opportunities, and strategic initiatives.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced degree in business or a related field preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in senior leadership roles managing complex business units, client portfolios, or service lines.
  • Demonstrated experience with full P&L accountability, including revenue growth, margin management, forecasting, and budget oversight.
  • Proven track record leading and developing senior leaders in a multi‑layered, client‑delivery environment.
  • Experience driving operational consistency and performance across multiple teams, accounts, or portfolios.
  • History of successfully growing existing client relationships through expansion of services, scope, or geography.
